Kounou Inc.’s coffee brand, KOUNOU COFFEE, participated in the prestigious Specialty Coffee Association of Japan (SCAJ) 2024 exhibition held at Tokyo Big Sight from October 9-11, 2024. This is KOUNOU COFFEE’s third coffee exhibition in Japan this year and its most significant presence at the country’s largest and most focused coffee industry event.
The SCAJ exhibition, now in its 21st year, is a cornerstone event in the Asian coffee industry. Founded in 2003 with the aim of promoting and expanding specialty coffee in Japan, SCAJ has played a pivotal role in transforming the coffee landscape. This year’s theme, “Let’s go full throttle into a new decade,” underscores the industry’s commitment to innovation and growth despite challenges such as currency fluctuations, coffee market issues, labor shortages and climate change.
At SCAJ2024, KOUNOU COFFEE prominently featured three different Yunnan coffee green beans, each processed using different methods: Yunnan Highland Natural, Yunnan Highland Washed, and Yunnan Red Wine Process. All three received positive feedback from visitors and potential customers. In particular, the Red Wine Process beans attracted a great deal of interest, with numerous orders being placed during the three-day event.
